Ryan builds bespoke software that helps businesses improve processes, connect systems and turn ideas into working products. Through MR Software Solutions, he designs and develops business applications, customer portals and internal tools, alongside automation and integrations. His focus is understanding how an organisation works and building software around its requirements.

His work includes HD OPTI, where he built both the website and desktop application, using Microsoft Azure to support the platform.

At Barclays UK, Ryan contributed to the design and implementation of a semi-automated machine-learning pipeline for credit risk models. His work covered workflow orchestration, experiment tracking, model monitoring and drift detection using Prefect, MLflow, Evidently AI and Streamlit, supporting model governance, auditability and reproducibility.

He also collaborated on monitoring dashboards and LLM-assisted reporting workflows using OpenAI APIs and LangChain, helping communicate model performance and drift insights to stakeholders.

Ryan holds an MSc in Data Science and Engineering with Distinction from the University of Dundee, an MLitt in Management from the University of St Andrews and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Aberdeen. His multidisciplinary background combines technical development with an understanding of business needs and analytical problem-solving.

These experiences inform his approach to software development: clear requirements, maintainable systems and reliable operation.
